A whole grain rice, riso venere or black rice has ebony grains that make it a choice ingredients for those dishes where presentation is key. It has a nice aroma and is rich in fiber and minerals as well as iron, and is usually paired with meat or fish dishes and can actually also be used for risotto. With very limited production in Italy, this is an incredible hard to find ingredient. Imported from Italy.
