This smooth foie gras is made in France by Bizac, a sister company of Rougie, the largest manufacturer of foie gras in the world. A block of foie gras consists of large solid pieces of foie gras that have been compressed into a block, with small pieces of luxurious truffles added for extra superb flavor. This is fully cooked, which delivers simplicity of use and longer storage life, with a shelf life of 4 years without refrigeration. Store in a dark dry place. For best taste tasting, place the foie gras in refrigeration 24 hours prior to serving, and serve in thin slices over toast with a fine Sauternes.

This was my first experience using Amazon's gourmet food vendors. I was surprised by the quality of the Foie Gras and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Black truffle center added to the experience.
