Product Description
Steel Cut Oats, also known as Coarse Cut Oats, Pinhead Oats, Scotch Oats or Irish Oats, are golden in color and resemble small rice pieces. They are the inner most part of the oat kernel. Steel Cut Oats are more natural than the common rolled oats because they are less processed. They are also nuttier and chewier. Steel Cut Oats take longer to cook than rolled oats (pre-processed).

Fresh, fast arrival and a great value September 30, 2008

I ordered the oat groats by mistake, thinking they were steel cut oats. (my fault not theirs) Actually, the oat groats were better and more flavorful. I cook them in a crockpot which is a time saver and much less work. The product was well packed, very fresh and a great value. I wont buy steel cut oats again and when I buy the oat groats I will by them from this seller.
