Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This 2004 Pu-erh Beeng Cha is a Spring-picked cake destined to age with fullness and grace. The leaves chosen for each cake are Qing Ming (Early Spring Picked) which show a great whiteness and sweet aroma. The leaves are picked from wild trees and remain pesticide free. The brew yields a darker cup than most green Pu-erhs and tastes smooth. Each cake is made from raw leaves and will age spectacularly over time into a top grade cake. The leaves themselves will start to look more red than green, As the leaves age, they will mellow out and astringency will decrease, but in the meantime you can counterbalance the green taste by making sure you do not over-steep. Leaves yield 2 or 3 brews. Brew as a green tea with water about 160 F so you don't scorch the leaves. As it ages you can use hotter water without worrying about bitter leaves. Buy one cake to drink now, and another to save for down the road. Makes a great gift!!
