Product Description Creme Fraiche is a thickened cream with a slightly tangy, nutty flavor and velvety, rich texture. This French specialty is traditionally made with unpasteurized cream. However, this version is pasteurized and made in Vermont. It is a rich treat that is perfect for thickening sauces and soups because it can be boiled without curdling. It is also delicious spooned over fresh fruit desserts. We especially like it served with our smoked salmon or with caviar. Just a dollop atop a piece of cocktail bread with a slice of smoked salmon lifts the experience to a whole new level. Its creamy tang is the perfect complement to a tender, smoky bite of salmon. Creme fraiche is the traditional accompaniment to caviar, and it smooths out the saltiness of the eggs.Vermont Creme Fraiche is exquisitely rich, with a cultured, nutty flavor and creamy texture. Enjoy this staple of French cuisine, served by many of the world's finest restaurants. Awarded 2nd Place in the American Cheese Society 2007 Awards in the Cow's Milk Creme Fraiche category.

Fantastic! September 23, 2008 J. Wildstein This cream is just as nutty and delicious as the package claims. All the serving suggestions are wonderful, and I have also found that it can be sustituted for sour cream when you want to make dips richer and tastier. Especially good on blintzes.
Yumo Creme Fraiche August 9, 2007 Ruth Dell (Clearwater, Fl-USA) This is delicious. It is wonderful in recipes and even on sandwiches. I do highly recommend it with no hesitation. It really is yumo.
Creme Fraiche/ TEXAS June 25, 2007 George Wm O'niel (El Paso ,Texas U S A) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the closes thing to the French creme that we have ever had here in the US. No one can come close to Vermont's creme fraiche. It is hard to purchase here in EL PASO TEXAS now that Lomart has closed its doors. That is why I must order it on line. The Greenery at Sun land Park Mall would not order it for me. I AM A CONESURE OF FINE FOODS
